Peter Woerner began employment with Tai-Yang Research Company in January of 2012. He was hired as an applied physicist after graduating with Bachelor’s Degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Tennessee Technological University. He is currently a key contributor on an ARPA-E project of developing a HTS magnet for wind power generation. His effort in this project includes the development and testing of insulation schemes and successfully implementing new fabrication techniques for a HTS racetrack coil.
Prior to coming to Tai-Yang, Peter worked as a research assistant at Tennessee Technological University under Dr. Andrew Hetzel in linear algebra where he headed an effort to investigate polynomials of linear transformations.
